Abstract

Symbol is a medium for expressing and disseminating human thoughts, as well as an intermediary and bridge between the material world and the spiritual world. In the era of rapid development and complex urban life, the symbols of public information plays an important role in promoting communication and mutual understanding between people in different cultures and languages. As the main disseminator of public information, the symbolic design of public information is an important factor in achieving this function. Therefore, to realize the effectiveness of information dissemination, scientific thinking and the methods of systematic design are needed. Strengthening the symbolic design of public information in the construction of campus culture can educate students from multiple aspects and angles, and increase the penetration and attractiveness of ideological and political education. This article explains the meaning and characteristics of symbol and symbolic design. It is necessary to introduce the symbolic design of public information into the construction of campus culture to provide new research perspectives and theoretical resources for the construction of campus culture.
